DeGrow Talks Education Reform at Liberty on the Rocks

With an ominous forecast of the season’s first snowstorm, more than two dozen liberty-lovers gathered in Manitou Springs on Tuesday, October 25, at the Colorado Springs chapter of Liberty on the Rocks to hear a featured presentation by senior policy analyst Ben DeGrow on a variety of education reforms in Colorado. DeGrow’s talk about parental choice, productive spending and professional teaching stirred a lively and thoughtful conversation with many members of the audience — which included a sitting school board member, a former state legislator, public school employees, parents and citizen-activists.

Tuesday’s event marks DeGrow’s third featured Liberty on the Rocks presentation in recent weeks. On August 15 he spoke on two prominent Colorado education lawsuits to the Red Rocks chapter in Golden, and on October 5 he highlighted the Douglas County Choice Scholarship program to the Denver group.

Special thanks to David Kelly for the generous invitation to speak and time to present in Colorado Springs, and for providing the photo used in this post.
