The Real Canadian Care Fact Finding Trip

Did you know.....There is an UNDERGROUND RAILROAD in Canada? Canadian's travel to the U.S. to receive timely healthcare treatment. They have "brokers" in Canada and the U.S. who help them get the treatment they need. These facilitators not only obtain medical help for Canadians; but they get it for 50 to 75% less than most uninsured Americans. Curious? We have some people with information and answers you will want and need to hear.

The goal of this trip is to obtain a better perspective on the Canadian healthcare system by allowing American journalists to network with real Canadians who survived their "public option." We have six Canadians who were denied treatment under the current Canadian healthcare system lined up to speak and share their stories. We want to learn more regarding why they do not think their plan is a good plan for the U.S., as well as the ramifications and fear they have for Canadian patients who no longer will be able to receive treatment in the U.S.

We will also be meeting with a medical broker who helps Canadians escape south to the United States to get the care they need to live. His message is simple - don't do what we did with healthcare in Canada, for if you do we will have no place to escape.

In order to achieve this goal, we will have group meetings and discussions all day on September 28. These meetings will include doctors and other Canadian healthcare experts, as well as REAL patients in Canada who are dealing directly with the Canadian healthcare system... many of whom are trying to get to the U.S. for help.
